Three exclusive experiences anchor our travel program: Phillips in the Field, Phillips Stateside, and Phillips Abroad.


Through these programs, the Phillips brings members all around the world to participate in the global conversation of art. In this past year, we visited Barcelona & Mallorca, New York City, Miami Beach, Dallas & Fort Worth, Chicago, Nice & Aix-en-Provence, and Paris.

Phillips Abroad

Invitation to Phillips Abroad trips begins at the Enthusiast Circle level (annual gift of $10,000).

Nice and Aix-en-Provence, France
June 21-27, 2026

This six-night journey through the South of France offers exclusive access to the expertise of The Phillips Collection’s senior leadership and a unique opportunity to deepen your connection with a vibrant community of fellow arts enthusiasts. Split between two iconic cities of the region, the trip provides a rare chance to explore modern art in its original context, particularly the works of two of our hallmark artists: Pierre Bonnard and Paul Cezanne. Our itinerary includes behind-the scenes access to museums, special visits to galleries and artist studios, and invitations to view remarkable private collections. Enhanced by exceptional accommodation and exquisite culinary experiences, this promises to be a truly memorable adventure.

Berlin and Kassel, Germany
September 12-18, 2027

Join the Phillips in Germany! Divided between Berlin and Kassel, this six-night itinerary explores pivotal moments in modern and contemporary art. In Berlin, we will focus on the rise of German Expressionism, examining the cultural, political, and social forces that shaped the movement and its enduring impact on modern art. In Kassel, the journey culminates with a visit to documenta 16, one of the world’s most influential contemporary art exhibitions. Along the way, guests will enjoy behind-the-scenes museum access, special visits with curators and artists, and opportunities to engage with exceptional collections. Thoughtfully curated accommodation and memorable culinary experiences complete what will be an intellectually rich and unforgettable journey.

Phillips Stateside

Program and accommodation to be arranged by the Phillips; travel to be arranged by participants. Invitation to Phillips Stateside begins at the Insider Circle level (annual gift of $5,000). 

Santa Fe, New Mexico
August 11-16, 2026

The light and forms of New Mexico have inspired the work of artists for centuries, from local, Indigenous artists to Georgia O’Keeffe, a treasured artist in the Phillips’s permanent collection. Exploring both modern and contemporary connections to the art scene in this region, our five-night itinerary offers curated museum and gallery visits, inside looks at private artists’ studios, and conversations that center Native makers. Highlights include exclusive guided access to the 104th Santa Fe Indian Market, North America’s largest Indigenous art fair, as well as private, guided tours of museums across Santa Fe, including the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum.

Hudson Valley, New York
April 6-11, 2027

A multi-day trip to the Hudson Valley offers an inspiring blend of contemporary and historic art set against one of America’s most storied landscapes. Enjoy a visit to Dia Beacon, where vast former factory galleries showcase large-scale works by artists such as Richard Serra and Dan Flavin, as well as an afternoon wandering the outdoor sculptures at Storm King Art Center. Farther north, explore the roots of American landscape painting at Thomas Cole National Historic Site, home of Thomas Cole and a gateway to the dramatic scenery that inspired the Hudson River School. Paired with charming river towns, galleries, and scenic viewpoints along the Hudson, the region makes an ideal short getaway for travelers drawn to art and landscape alike.
