Creative Seedlings
Phillips@THEARC
Calling all Blerds! Join us for supper, music, and the opportunity to be part of a growing visual archive on Blerdom in the DMV.
Inspired by Wesley Clark’s centennial installation genesis, and in collaboration with Blerdcon founder Hilton George, and Raél Jero Salley, Founding Director of The Space for Creative Black Imagination, MICA, Phillips@THEARC hosts a series of dinner and dialogues on Blerd culture. This program is a platform for regular gatherings and engagement with “creative seedlings,” a core theme of Clark’s work.
The January session will include conversation around the intersection of performance and Blerdom, and also welcome artist Nyugen E. Smith, the CulturalDC 2022-23 Capital Artist Resident. Supper provided by Taste of Trelawny.
