Join us as we welcome Trap Bob, the latest artist to reimagine our Centennial logo, for a discussion with local photographer Carl Nard.
This artist’s talk will discusses Trap Bob’s journey as an artist, activist, and member of the creative community. Trap Bob and Carl will cover different projects and works of the artist, along with current topics, the pandemic, as well as Carl’s work in the community with Walk With Locals, etc. They will also talk about the DC creative community’s energy and connectedness.
Tenbeete Solomon AKA Trap Bob is a visual artist, illustrator, and animator based in Washington, DC. She is known for her use of bold colors and gestures to convey both the humor and struggles of everyday life. Her work is socially conscious and frequently inspired by activism and community issues, with an aim to bridge the gap between her audience and her message. Her work can be found in both the digital space and within the community, from Instagram gif stickers to permanent murals throughout DC. As the founder of Trap Bob World, LLC, a freelance design and product company, Tenbeete has worked with leading corporations, brands, and organizations including: Giphy, Pabst Blue Ribbon, NASA, BET, and Refinery 29. As Creative Director of women-centric creative collective, GIRLAAA, Tenbeete leads execution of all art design and exhibitions for events, promotional materials and other collaborations.
