Group Experiences

Group Tours and Visits

Adult and university groups can arrange for guided tours or self-guided visits at The Phillips Collection. Allow two hours to provide time to view additional works of art and visit the shop after the one-hour guided tour. The Phillips also offers school visits for student groups.

GUIDED TOURS: ADULT AND UNIVERSITY

Whether this is your first visit to The Phillips Collection or we are welcoming you back, this one-hour tour will encourage discussion, invite thoughtful questioning, and closely engage with works of art. Explore how the collection has grown and evolved through time and gain a deeper understanding of how the museum continues to support the art of today.

Available Times/Reservation policies: 

• Tuesday–Sunday at 11:30 am and 2:15 pm
• Reservations must be made at least one month in advance. 

Pricing:

• University Students: $10 per student + $100 tour fee
• Adults (25 people or less): $20 per person + $200 tour fee
• Adults (26-50 people): $20 per person + $400 tour fee 
• Seniors (25 people or less): $15 per person + $200 tour fee
• Senior (26-50 people): $15 per person + $400 tour fee 

SELF-GUIDED VISITS: ADULT AND UNIVERSITY

Groups may arrange a visit without a guide. Group members may access audio guides, videos, and more via the Bloomberg Connects mobile app. 

Available Times/Reservation policies: 

• Tuesday–Sunday at 11:30 am and 2:15 pm
• Reservations must be made at least one month in advance. 
• Maximum of 50 people per group

Pricing:

• University Students: $10 per student 
• Adults: $20 per person 
• Senior: $15 per person 

Reservations and Payment

Group payments must be completed one calendar week prior to the scheduled tour date. Group payments can be transacted by credit card only. Member Guests passes cannot be used for group payments. The Phillips Collection does not offer refunds if the number of attendees changes after the reservation and payment are complete.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change and we want to accommodate your group’s needs as best as we can. However, in order to ensure that our resources are used efficiently and that as many groups as possible can enjoy our tours, please note our cancellation policy:

• Please let us know of any cancellations AT LEAST 14 DAYS prior to your scheduled visit.
• In the event of a last-minute cancellation or multiple repeat cancellations, we reserve the right to refuse any future bookings for your school or group.

Bus Drop-Off

No bus parking, idling, or drop off/pick up is allowed in front of the museum. Drop off/pick up exception for seniors and visitors with disabilities. Suggested bus drop off along Massachusetts Avenue.
