Tomas kaco

Internationally acclaimed pianist Tomáš Kačo will present a selection of contemporary classics, including Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Imagine and Yesterday, and songs of his Czech roots from his newest album My Songbook at The Phillips Collection on May 13, 2025. Experience a fusion of Czech and contemporary melodies in an unforgettable performance, followed by a reception of Czech wine from the Spěvák Winery.

Like artist Alphonse Mucha’s timeless Art Nouveau style, Kačo’s music transcends generations, blending the past with the present to create something enduringly beautiful. His performances and compositions, rich in harmony and intricacy, mirror Mucha’s aesthetic in their attention to detail and emphasis on beauty, creativity, and innovation.

Presented in collaboration with The Czech Embassy in connection with the exhibition Timeless Mucha: The Magic of Line on view through May 18.

Tomáš Kačo is a celebrated pianist whose music seamlessly blends his rich heritage with classical and contemporary influences. Born in Nový Jičín, Czech Republic, Kačo’s musical journey began at a young age when he taught himself to play the piano by ear, quickly developing an extraordinary ear for harmony. After studying at the Janáček Conservatory and later at Berklee College of Music, Kačo's artistry has evolved into a dynamic force in the classical and contemporary music worlds. He also composes and arranges music for choirs and orchestras, such as the Czech Philharmonic, and is involved in film music.

Spěvák Winery is a family-owned winery, located in the Czech Republic. It adheres to the philosophy that a good quality wine is born in the vineyard, not the winery. All the grapes used for wine production are sustainably grown and hand-picked on the Spěvák Estate. Willis International imports select wines from the Spěvák Winery to the United States and will be on hand to present the wines.
