Hands-on with Photo Collaging
with Sanah Brown-Bowers
Join us for a hands-on workshop led by Sanah Brown-Bowers where participants are invited to piece together a whimsical world of stories untold. We will delve into the artist’s practice of using collage to explore the Black archive, and loop together images and colors through repetition and theme. From the playfulness of Dr. Seuss and Mr. Rogers—characters that have influenced the artist—to the depth of our matriarchal and ancestral histories, we will create a collage-based time capsule on a charcuterie board, embellished with a splash of paint and a sprinkle of glitter.
No experience necessary. All materials provided.
