Party with Pride
Phillips after 5
Celebrate pride at the Phillips! Enjoy a special drag performance from the lean, clean, and always pristine Citrine the Queen—DC’s “Queen of 17th Street”—along with a blend of jazz, funk, and soul from DC band Black Folks Don’t Swim? In the art workshop, customize your own flags and fans to help you celebrate all month long. Browse the galleries and enjoy Spotlight Talks from Phillips Educators about LGBTQIA+ artists in the collection. Try samples from Republic Restoratives Distillery, including the limited-edition Civic Pride vodka (or purchase a bottle! For every bottle sold of the special PRIDE edition vodka, Republic Restoratives will donate $1 to the National Center for Transgender Equality.) Savor summer classics from Bread Furst café: mini crab and lobster rolls, Orange Crush cocktails, Aperol Spritz, and beer and wine. Put your Pride into action with HeadCount’s Vote with Pride initiative. In the courtyard, enjoy nostalgic hits, house, disco, hip-hop, and R&B from DC-based DJ Ebb King from Eaton Workshop.
