Event Details

Guided by a museum educator, families will explore two paintings by Georgia O’Keeffe. We will look carefully, discuss ideas, ask questions, play with patterns and textures, and create art inspired by nature.

For families with children ages 4 and up.

Materials needed:
Any kind of paper (copy paper, construction paper, sketching paper, paper bags)
5 leaves (any size)
10 additional things from outside: acorns, pebbles, flower petals, grasses, tiny sticks,
Crayons with paper removed
Cell phone or camera to take photos of your artwork

To prepare: As well as spending time outside enjoying nature and collecting materials, we invite you to re-read the blog post Phillips at Home for background on Georgia O’Keeffe and practice with artful thinking strategies.
