World renowned cellist and teacher Amit Peled brings students from his cello studio at the Peabody Institute to the Phillips for a performance of works by Händel, Haydn, Bach, Boccherini, Ligeti, Mark Kopytmann, and the world premiere of a new work by Joel Friedman. In collaboration with the pianist Hui Chuan Chen and students Yotam Baruch, Andrea Casarrubios, Jan Fuller, Jong Bin Kim, Jacques-Pierre Malan, and Javier Iglesias Martin.

For over 10 years, world-renowned Israeli-American cellist Amit Peled has taught at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Having studied with many of the major cellists of the 20th century, including Bernard Greenhouse, Laurence Lesser, and Isaac Stern, Peled passes his unique knowledge to the next generation.In collaboration with the pianist Hui Chuan Chen and students Yotam Baruch, Andrea Casarrubios, Jan Fuller, Jong Bin Kim, Jacques-Pierre Malan, and Javier Iglesias Martin, Peled presents works by Händel, Haydn, J.
